Front Desk Associate

About the Role:

We are currently hiring someone to be the welcoming presence for Retro’s front desk. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our visitors, candidates, and delivery drivers. This is the perfect role for gaining exposure to a fast-paced startup environment! You will report to the Human Experience lead.

This is a part-time position, 8:00am-1:00pm daily, in Redwood City.

About you:

You are outgoing and communicate well with many different types of people. You have a warm presence and enjoy making people feel welcomed. You’re organized and excited to grow your administrative skills

In this role, you will:

• Greet visitors and candidates (check-in, COVID tests administration, NDAs, etc.).
• Help host joe’s (CEO) visitors; check in, drinks, get them settled in the correct office, etc.
• Help receive and organize packages for various teams.
• Assist with shipment tracking/coordination.
• Be in charge of the front desk phone.
• Monitor the parking lot, assisting with gate access when needed for visitors or deliveries.
• Assist with some other administrative duties, such as facilitating returns, coordinating with vendors, filing NDAs, or scheduling maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned; we’re a startup and we help where we’re needed. We have a humble, no-task-too-small attitude.

You will thrive in this role if you:

• Have customer service, hospitality, office admin, or other similar experience.
• Have proficiency with various software tools, including Google Suite and project/task management.
• Have a positive attitude and friendly, open demeanor.
• Have a desire to gain experience working in a startup environment.
• Have an interest in science and longevity and extending healthy human lifespan!

$18.20 – $18.20 an hour

Total compensation also includes:
– Accrued time off and 10 company holidays per year.
