We are looking for a highly organized and execution-oriented person to support our CEO and other senior leaders. In this role, you will be a member of the Office of the CEO, reporting to and partnering with the Chief of Staff and working closely with the CEO and other leaders to provide operational support, enabling them to focus on their key priorities in driving Retro forward. This is not a terminal admin role; it is a great opportunity for someone who wants exposure to working with leadership in a startup environment and potentially growing into project/program management down the line.
About you:
You love to work and have excellent operational talents: solid judgment, direct and clear communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities, complex projects. You are humble, hungry, and smart, and want to apply your skills and experience to enabling operations, strategy, and management in a fast-paced startup.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee calendar management, strategically aligning leaders’ schedules with top priorities and managing meetings, travel, and daily workflows for peak efficiency.
- Provide meeting support, preparation, and follow up, including providing pre-meeting. briefings, preparing agendas, (as needed) capturing action items, and driving accountability on deliverables.
- Handle travel and logistics, managing complex travel arrangements and creating detailed itineraries.
- Draft pragmatic reports, correspondence, and presentations to support executive decision-making.
- Organize and track legal documents, expiration dates, and track and ensure document execution.
- Lead special strategic projects and initiatives as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned; we’re a startup and we help where we’re needed. We have a humble, no-task-too-small attitude.
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Are excited to be a true partner to retro leaders. This isn’t a 9–5 position. We work hard, move quickly, and adapt as priorities shift — all in service of a mission we deeply believe in. Flexibility and a team-first attitude are key to thriving here.
- Have 4+ years of hands-on project management and/or administrative support experience with the ability to manage complexity and multiple priorities, and drive results.
- Are comfortable with being a gatekeeper when necessary.
- Have experience in roles requiring discretion or work with sensitive and confidential information.
- Grasp technical concepts and uptake information with breathtaking speed.
- Are extraordinarily execution-oriented and have a bias towards action and iteration.
- Have experience quickly synthesizing and analyzing information, identifying opportunities and risks, and providing recommendations.
- Are deeply motivated by our mission and believe Retro can fundamentally improve the human condition.
It’s a bonus if you:
- Have a scientific foundation, either from education, research, or working closely with scientific teams in a biotech setting.
- Have experience working directly with highly technical scientific people.
$110,000 – $140,000 a year
Total compensation also includes generous equity and benefits including:
– Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family
– 401(k) plan with 4% matching
– Unlimited time off and 10 company holidays per year
– Paid parental leave
– Annual learning & development stipend
