Attached to the histology/cytometry platform, you will participate in the daily activity of the platform and in the development and technical optimization of immunolabeling according to the needs of the different research axes.
MISSIONS:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Histology:
Preparation of tissue samples (including liver, kidney, intestine):
- Dehydration – inclusion in paraffin;
- Microtome and cryostat sections;
- Manual ImmunoHistoChemical markings and automated stainings;
- Dissociation of organs;
Participation in the technological developments of the platform:
- Development, optimization, validation and writing of protocols (H&E and Picrosirius red staining, IHC, Tunel assay, etc.);
- Scientific and technical monitoring on the different areas of research (characterization of different types of cell death).
Cytometry:
Sample preparation:
- Dissociation of organs;
- Markings/fixation of cells resulting from organ dissociation;
- Participation in the technological developments of the platform: development, optimization, validation of panels on flow cytometer (cell death / immune profile).
Common activities Histology/Cytometry:
- Analysis and synthesis of experimental data (fibrosis score, quantification of necrosis, gating, etc.);
- Compilation, as and when, of experimental data in the electronic laboratory notebook;
- Drafting and updating of quality documents, monitoring of quality procedures;
- Participation in common laboratory tasks and in improving the organization of the histology/cytometry platform (management and maintenance of stocks, product inventory, etc.);
- Preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment after each experiment and maintenance of the platform in compliance with quality procedures.
PROFILE :
- Bac+2 to Bac+3 training maximum with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in histology;
- You have excellent practical and theoretical knowledge in histology: fixation, staining, immunolabeling, image analysis;
- Your knowledge of hepatic and renal pathologies (from the ALF/ACLF/Acute decompensation model) and intestinal (permeability);
- You are proficient in standard IT tools (Office Pack), statistical analysis (Prism) and bibliographic research (Pubmed, etc.). Knowledge of QuPath software would be a plus;
- You are comfortable reading technical English (scientific articles, protocols, etc.);
- You are recognized for your rigor, your autonomy, your ability to adapt and organize, your taste for methodology, and you know how to write concisely.
