Head of AI / Data Science (F/M/X)

To support the ramp-up of our artificial intelligence initiatives, GENFIT’s IT department is strengthening its AI and innovation division.
As such, we are seeking a Head of AI/Data Science to lead this initiative, ensuring strategic coordination, alignment with business challenges, and the ramp-up of technical teams.

MISSIONS:

At the crossroads of technological and business challenges, you will play a key role in the deployment of GENFIT’s AI vision.

You will be responsible for structuring, managing and leading a dedicated team, and will actively contribute to defining the main directions in terms of artificial intelligence, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Your main missions will be structured around four axes:

• Leadership & Management:
  • Supervise and unite a team of Data Scientists / AI Product Owners;
  • Create a culture of innovation, accountability and collaboration within the team;
  • Support team members in developing their practices and structuring their working methods to maximize collective performance.
• Strategic management & coordination:
  • Define and implement the generative AI strategy, in line with GENFIT’s overall ambitions and business challenges;
  • Ensure coordination with business departments to identify high value-added use cases and define priorities based on the company’s strategic needs;
  • Monitor the progress of AI projects, optimize resources and arbitrate based on business priorities.
• Innovation Drive:
  • Be a driving force in proposing opportunities offered by AI, based on continuous technological monitoring and market analysis;
  • Guide the team towards pragmatic, scalable and industrializable solutions;
  • Promote a responsible and ethical approach to AI by ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of data governance and integrity.
• Communication & influence:
  • Promote the results of AI projects by ensuring clear, impactful communication adapted to each audience;
  • Be the ambassador of the AI ​​strategy, inspiring and mobilizing internal stakeholders around the team’s projects and ambitions.

PROFILE :

• You hold a doctorate or master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science or a related field, with a strong interest in issues related to digital transformation and AI;
• You have at least 7 years of experience in managing data science projects, including significant experience in team management and strategic project management;
• You are proficient in the concepts of machine learning, deep learning and advanced analytics, as well as the Python language and the main data management and processing tools;
• You have strong project management skills in an Agile environment, and you are comfortable communicating, both written and oral;
• You stand out for your ability to solve complex problems by developing high-impact solutions based on AI and data;
• You express yourself fluently in English and French, both written and spoken, your vocabulary is contemporary and suited to an international working environment;
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector is an asset.
