We are seeking a talented Head of Finance to join our brand new team, reporting to the CEO and Co-Founder of SheMed. This is a standalone role and the ideal candidate will oversee SheMed’s financial strategy, ensuring strong fiscal management, sustainable growth, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, investor relations, and compliance. Additionally, you will provide leadership across HR and legal functions, making this a key role in shaping SheMed’s future.
Please note: This is a permanent role and requires you to attend the office, 5 days a week (Mon to Fri, 9am – 6pm) – Based in Euston, London.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- Develop and manage SheMed’s annual budget, ensuring financial sustainability.
- Forecast revenue and expenses to support strategic decision-making.
- Actively monitor financial performance, and ensure stakeholders are fully appraised at all times.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive efficiencies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to formulate a strong business strategy and ensure accountability across all departments.
- Manage relationships with investors, banks and advisors
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors.
- Lead and participate in investor meetings to support fundraising and business expansion.
- Collaborate with inhouse HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
- Handle legal and compliance matters, including contracts and regulatory obligations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or MBA preferred)..
- 5+ years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a high-growth environment.
- Prior experience in the D2C or e-commerce sector is a plus.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in understanding/ managing HR and legal functions is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
