Position Overview
TruDiagnostics is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Science Liaison (“MSL”) to join our growing team. This role will serve as a scientific resource for key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders. The MSL will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with academic researchers, clinicians, and other external partners, while supporting the company’s strategic goals related to epigenetic testing, aging, and related health diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Scientific Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on Company products, services, and underlying science, focusing on epigenetics, DNA methylation, biological age, and related health metrics. Provide scientific support to healthcare professionals, researchers, and internal teams.
- KOL and Healthcare Provider Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinical investigators, and healthcare professionals. Collaborate with academic researchers, industry partners, and healthcare providers to facilitate knowledge exchange, clinical research opportunities, and advocacy for epigenetic research, development, and Company products.
- Clinical Trials & Research Support: Partner with clinical teams to support ongoing research initiatives, clinical trials, and real-world evidence generation. Provide scientific expertise in study design, data interpretation, and the publication of study results.
- Medical Education & Training: Deliver educational presentations, webinars, and training sessions to healthcare professionals and internal teams. Support the development of educational materials that enhance understanding of the Company’s scientific platforms.
- Product and Scientific Communication: Assist in the creation of scientific content for medical publications, product brochures, and scientific posters. Contribute to the preparation of abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations for conferences.
- Regulatory & Compliance Support: Ensure that all scientific communication adheres to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical guidelines. Support regulatory submissions and clinical trial documents.
- Market Insights & Feedback: Provide valuable insights from the field to internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to enhance the company’s offerings to meet market needs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical, research, regulatory, and marketing teams to align on strategy and ensure that scientific messaging is accurate, consistent, and impactful across all channels.
Qualifications
Education: Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD) in a relevant scientific field (e.g., molecular biology, genetics, pharmacology, or related discipline).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an MSL, clinical research scientist, or in a similar scientific/medical role within the biotechnology, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in epigenetics, molecular biology, or aging research is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, scientific communication, and the healthcare ecosystem.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate a variety of stakeholders (KOLs, healthcare professionals, internal teams).
- Expertise in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to present complex scientific information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate across various departments.
- Strong presentation skills and proficiency in delivering webinars and educational content.
High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality in a regulated environment.
