The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and execute experiments investigating cellular and organismal metabolism
  • Prepare metabolomics and lipidomics samples from tissues, cells, and biofluids and analyze them by LC-MS/MS
  • Conduct mammalian tissue culture and perform standard molecular biology techniques (e.g. nucleic acid extraction, western blot, ELISA)
  • Assist with in vivo experiments, including handling/monitoring mice, tissue collection
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, prepare figures for, and present at internal meetings
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in compliance with institutional policies

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field, with 5+ years of post-Bachelor’s (or 3+ post-Master’s) relevant research experience in an academic or industry setting
  • Proficiency in mammalian cell culture, gene editing techniques (CRISPR/Cas9, viral transduction) and basic molecular biology methods (e.g., nucleic acid extraction, Western blotting)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be willing to work onsite five days a week

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with metabolic assays (e.g. Seahorse analysis) and flow cytometry
